Who we are
For fifteen years I worked on the other side of the counter, leading category strategy for some of the UK's biggest food brands, deciding what went on supermarket shelves and why. The giants win because they turn data into decisions. Independent shops are left to guess. EcoWise AI exists to change that.
I'm Dev Mukherji, founder of EcoWise AI. After a career in retail and FMCG category management, and a detour through MasterChef and a flexitarian cookbook along the way, I started this to put supermarket-grade intelligence in the hands of the shopkeepers who hold their communities together.
We build it with Daniel Hignell, our technology lead and an MSc Applied AI researcher at the University of Warwick, whose machine-learning models turn raw till data into clear, weekly advice. The science is real, and it's developed hand in hand with Warwick's Applied AI and Data Science team.
Right now we're running a live pilot with independent stores through the NFSP, and we're backed by the University of Warwick. We're now opening conversations with early investors who want to help good shops compete, and win.
